ABSTRACT

Solitary neurofibroma is a term given to a single neurofibroma in the absence of neurofibromatosis and multiple neurofibromas. Solitary neurofibroma of the perianal region is exceedingly rare. We report a case of a young gentleman with long standing, single perianal mass superimposed by infection. Only a handful of case reports describing this entity exist in the literature. Therefore, no guidelines were established for the proper management of such pathology. We share our experience in hope that it can aid clinicians in management of this extraordinary disease in the future.
