ABSTRACT
Cutaneous Mycobacterium marinum infection is a type of slowing growing
non-tuberculous mycobacterial infection which can be associated with
deformity, disability and stigma. It is often acquired via exposure to
contaminated waters.
High index of clinical suspicion is important in its diagnosis and management.
There is currently no standardised guideline on the type, number and duration of
antimicrobials for its treatment. Here, we present a case of successfully
treated cutaneous
Mycobacterium marinum
with triple antibiotics despite a two-decade history of the lesion.
